Full Tuition Scholarships
All Catholic lay students admitted in the Master of Divinity program receive a full tuition scholarship for three years. This financial assistance, valued at over $110,000 over three years, enables students to immerse themselves in outstanding academic classes, to participate in diverse and collaborative formation communities involving both seminarians and lay students, to work at ministerial internships in the surrounding community, and to take part in the life of one of the world’s great universities.
“The full tuition scholarship had a great impact in my decision to come to Notre Dame because, having worked with the homeless and prisoners over the past few years, I did not have any extra money for the tuition at a private school like Notre Dame. Knowing that any job I get after graduation will only pay me a moderate amount of money, it helps to know that I can greatly reduce the amount of debt I acquire while I am a student. While money is still a concern, with health insurance, books, room and board, and other incidentals like travel or recreation to budget for, I certainly have much less anxiety than had I not gotten the tuition scholarship.”

“The scholarship provided by Notre Dame has been the greatest blessing of all, allowing me to think less of finances and more of God. Now that I am married, the financial aid is even more vital to my attending the program. When I think of not having the scholarship, I laugh that only an act of God would have helped me pay off tuition after graduation.”
